Privacy

The short version

Local tools (compress, merge, split, sign, rotate, organize, watermark, convert, images) run entirely in your browser. The PDF is not uploaded. Closing the tab drops it from memory.

AI tools (summarize, form extract, optional OCR, document Q&A) send extracted text or up to two downscaled page images — never the original file. We do not keep a copy of that text after the response is returned.

Accounts

Local tools do not require an account. You may create one (Google, X, or email) to subscribe to PDF Boost AI Pro or to track a daily AI quota. We store your email, display name, and subscription status — not your PDFs.

Billing

PDF Boost AI Pro is $5.95 per month, billed by Stripe. Card numbers never touch our servers. Stripe receives the customer email you used to sign in, plus a customer and subscription id we store so we can turn ads off and raise AI limits. Cancel anytime from Account — Stripe’s customer portal handles invoices and payment methods.

Webhooks from Stripe update your plan status. If a payment fails, Pro features (ad-free browsing, higher AI cap, larger page limit) return to Free until the subscription is active again.

Advertising

Free pages may show labeled advertisements from third-party advertising partners. Ads are placed away from primary Run, Download, and Checkout buttons. The current 300 × 250 test is loaded inside a sandboxed, cross-origin frame that cannot access the parent app, PDF inputs, or application storage.

The advertising provider still receives normal request information such as IP address, device and browser details, and may use cookies or similar technologies inside the ad. Clicking an ad opens third-party content governed by that provider’s policies. Pro members do not load or see ad slots.

Some labeled placements are affiliate links. If you register with a partner through one of these links, PDF Boost AI may receive a commission. The current Stake.us offer is limited to people age 21 or older and may not be available in every location. Its banner is served from our site; no information is sent to Stake unless you choose to open the link.

The Calculator Now sponsor placement also uses an image served from our site. No information is sent to Calculator Now unless you choose to open its link.

What we cannot see

We cannot read the PDF you drop into a local tool. We cannot recover a file after you close the tab. We cannot reset a password you do not know.
