Summarize a PDF with AI — file stays here

An executive summary, key points, and action items. PDF Boost AI extracts text locally; for a scan, optional AI OCR can read the first two pages before the model writes the brief.

Drop a file here

One file at a time. Processed in this tab — nothing is uploaded.

Free: 3 pages per file · 2 AI runs a day. Pro is $5.95/mo for 80 pages and 60 AI runs.

The PDF stays in this tab. Our Frontier Model processes capped extracted text—or, only when you enable OCR, a vision model processes images of up to two pages. PDF Boost AI does not persist the payload.

  1. 01

Drop a PDF. If it may be a scan, turn on AI OCR if a scan.

  2. 02

Run Summarize. PDF Boost AI extracts text locally; only when that text is empty does the optional OCR read the first two pages.

  3. 03

Copy, download Markdown, or ask a follow-up about a number on the page.

What we send, and what we don’t

Upload-based “AI PDF” products take the whole file, including images, hidden layers, and metadata. PDF Boost AI first extracts selectable text in the browser and sends a capped string. If you enable AI OCR and that text is empty, it sends downscaled images of the first two pages for OCR instead. The original PDF never leaves the tab.

The model is instructed not to invent figures. If a date or total is missing, the brief should say so. Still: read the source before you act on a number.

Follow-up questions reuse the text already extracted. They are user-initiated — nothing runs on page load.

When a summary is the wrong artifact

A 2-page letter does not need an executive summary. A 40-page deck before a meeting does. Use Extract Form Fields when you need structured values, not prose.

Questions

Which model do you use?
Our Frontier Model writes summaries, extracts fields, and answers follow-up questions. Scanned-page OCR uses a separate vision-capable model. There is no automatic provider fallback, and the PDF itself is never attached.
Do you store the summary?
No. Copy or download it. Closing the tab clears it.
What happens with a scanned PDF?
Turn on AI OCR if a scan. PDF Boost AI tries local text extraction first; only if it finds no text does it OCR the first two pages, then send the returned text for summarization. OCR and summarization count as separate AI runs.
