What converts well

Reports, letters, and anything with a real text layer convert cleanly enough to edit. Scans convert to empty pages unless you extract text with OCR first.

Columns, footnotes, and text-on-images are imperfect. If you need a visual twin, export pages as images instead.

Conversion never leaves this device. That is the difference versus the usual “free PDF to Word” upload mill.

Questions

Will my fonts and layout survive?
Fonts are mapped to the Word defaults. Complex layout is flattened to paragraphs. Treat the result as an editable draft.
What about scanned PDFs?
