How to unlock a PDF you already have the password for
Open a password-protected file in the browser, enter the password you know, and download a copy you can actually use.
Open Unlock PDF- 01
Open Unlock PDF and drop the protected file.
- 02
Enter the password you already know.
- 03
Download the unlocked copy and store it the way you store the original.
Unlock means “I know the password and I want a working copy,” not “break someone else’s file.” PDF Boost AI cannot guess a password you do not have, and it will not try.
Why people lock files in the first place
Email is not a vault. A password on a PDF is a thin extra door. Once you unlock it locally, treat the new file with the same care.
Do this on-device
A website that asks for the password and the file has both. A tab that asks for the password has one, and it forgets when you close it.
